Ben Cassar is a Director of Public Policy and Regulation at the Investment Company Institute. Ben has extensive knowledge of European financial services regulation, capital markets, and public policy. Before joining ICI, he served as a Director on the financial services team at FTI Consulting, where he advised leading asset managers and banks on regulatory strategy and public affairs across the European Union. There, he played a key role developing policy positions, and supporting senior executives in engagement with policymakers, regulators, and industry bodies in Brussels.
Previously, Ben gained experience in international roles, including at the International Institute for Justice and the Rule of Law and the U.S. Department of State. Ben holds an MSc in the Political Economy of Europe from the London School of Economics, and a B.A. (Hons) in International Relations from the University of Malta.
